About D Y Patil College of Agriculture

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agriculture, Talsande been established by D. Y. Patil Education Society, Kolhapur under the affiliation of Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahuri, Dist. Ahmednagar (MS) in 2008. All round success of this college in education, research and extension made this college as an Institute of repute. It symbolizes quality education in the field of Agriculture has the vision to educate the students to transform them as professionally competent and quality conscious agriculture graduate by providing a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and overall personality development, culminating the institute into an international institute. This college having excellent infrastructure facilities with well-established library, lecture halls, power point projectors, boys & girls hostel and playing ground.

Form the date of establishment to till today this college has been achieved and progressed much more. For the career development of students in academic as well as allied activities like Placement cell, Competitive exams viz. UPSC, MPSC, CET, JRF Entrance etc., International exposures, Educational tours and visits, Expert lectures, Poster/ PPT competitions, National Service Scheme, State/ National level Cultural and Sports competitions etc. college takes lots of efforts to encourage, motivate the students to achieve their goals. This college mainly emphasized on quality education as well as overall development of students and rural community. For that purpose, college organizes different Campaigns, Workshops, Agricultural exhibition, Field demonstrations including Intercropping, Mixed cropping, Different irrigation systems, Engineering technologies, Plant protection technologies, Innovative and modern tools/equipment’s, Hydroponics technology, Different varieties and breeds, Precision farming, Cool chamber, Ripening chamber etc. Faculty members also involve in popular, national, international publications, radio, and Television talks.

We also have well-developed farm including 100 percent drip with atomized irrigation systems as well as the well-maintained orchard and field crop plots, commercial vegetable and flower production, dairy and poultry unit having well trained and skillful labors
