India is an Agricultural Country; about 60 to 70% of our population depends on agriculture. To increase the crop productivity is our prime responsibility and this is possible only when we give the recent agriculture knowledge in the field of crop production, fruit & vegetable production, dairy technology, Food Technology, Soil and Water Conservation System etc. to the young generation admitted for taking education. With these objectives our college under the D. Y. Patil Education Society’s, Kolhapur is established in 2000 and affiliated to M.P.K.V. Rahuri. Campus having well connected roads with beautiful greenery, laboratories, classrooms with qualified experience teaching staff. Separate hostel facilities for both girls as well as boys in campus itself. Other facilities includes, well equipped digital library, sports facilities of indoor and outdoor games in campus are available. The campus is well secured with security guard. More emphasis is given to the admitted students regarding getting practical knowledge of agriculture by arranging the different visit to Agril. Research station, reputed Agriculture based companies and KVK situated in the state by arranging separate tour Programme. All the teachers are well versed not only in teaching but also in other activities, i.e. social work, conduct of sports, cultural events etc. Therefore, the students who seek the admission here in this college feel homely.
